Marsherrie attended Crowley High School and was a dual sport athlete lettering in both Volleyball and Track and Field. During her Junior and Senior year she captained both Volleyball and Track and Field teams. As a volleyball player, she played outside hitter, left back as a defensive specialist. In Track, she was a sprinter as well as a long and triple jumper, successfully participating in the open 100, and in 4 X 100, and 4 X 200 meter relays. Marsherrie received Most Valuable Player in both Volleyball and Track and Field, she also received the Most Kills Award, and the Ranger College Scholarship Award.
Marsherrie accepted Volleyball Scholarship to Ranger College in August 2006, located in Ranger, TX. While at Ranger, she captain of volleyball team played outside hitter and left back. After 2 years at Ranger College, she received a scholarship to Oklahoma Baptist University as an outside hitter. After the season, Marsherrie coached 14s for one season in the Oklahoma Region 2008.
After moving to the Austin Area in 2009, Marsherrie continues to play competitive pick up volleyball throughout Austin. Although Coach Madkins is newer to AJV, she has been coaching local volleyball clinics along with 14s, 15s and 16s club volleyball for the last three seasons.
