Emily Tran began her volleyball career in Minnesota, her hometown, at Northern Lights Volleyball Club at age 12. There she won a handful of qualifiers, placed 3rd at AAUs (17Club), 5th at USAV Nationals (15USA), & won an AAU National Championship (15USA). She was also named an AAU-All-American in 2017 and was awarded the only Outstanding Senior Award in 2018. She went on to continue her volleyball career at St. Edward's University, right next door to AJV. Emily was a 4-year starter, LSC Scholar-Athlete, & All-Tournament Team Selection. She is 1 of 8 players in SEU history to record 2000 career assists. She finished her career with 2,190 assists, 828 digs, and 2 Conference Championship appearances. Emily graduated from St. Edward's University in 2022 with a BBA in Marketing and a Minor in psychology.

Emily's experience as a coach started in high school. With AJV in close proximity to St. Edwards University, she was quickly introduced to coaching Academy and private lessons for girls between the ages of 11-14. This is her first year coaching a club team with AJV and looks forward to creating relationships with her team and watching them grow.
