EMI PUA’A
Emi Pua'a played for Iowa Western before transferring to Arizona for her last two years of eligibility. At Iowa Western, totaled 972 digs (third best in program history) 49 aces and 194 assists. Took her team to the National Championship two years in a row, winning in 2016 and gaining runner up in 2017. Her talents took her to the University of Arizona where she played under Head Coach David Rubio. At Arizona, completed a perfect attendance record for every game and play in all 237 sets of her career and all 67 games of her career as well. Became the 11th player in school history to record 29 digs in a single match against Washington. She is currently a teacher at Primrose Southwest Austin and coaching middle school for Valor South.
While finishing her collegiate career at the University of Arizona, she was brought on board as a student assistant after her senior year where she helped on the defensive side. After completing her degree in Communications and Behavioral Sciences, she was brought on board as a volunteer assistant specializing in defense before relocating to the Austin area to pursue her teaching certification. While at Arizona, she was the head of the Starlings Tucson Volleyball Club where she oversaw all three teams. Her 15's team finished third at the Starlings National 16's tournament while her 14's and 13's finished in the top 10 of the tournament.
