Originally from Georgetown, TX, Annie Burke began playing volleyball at the age of 11. She competed for Austin Juniors from age 12 through 18 and attended East View High School in Georgetown, where she was a 3-year varsity starter and 6-rotation outside hitter. After high school, she went on to play collegiately as a setter for Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. While at Rhodes, she served as captain and led her team in aces and assists during her final season in 2019, in addition to being named to the Southern Athletic Association's Academic Honor Roll for the 2017 and 2019 seasons. After moving back to Austin in fall of 2020, she completed her final year of college remotely and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Anthropology & Sociology in 2021. Annie is excited to rejoin AJV as an assistant coach and looks forward to a year of both teaching and learning.
