On day seven of our European adventure we traveled to Croatia squished on a bus with our lovely bus driver, Raphael, who guided us on our four and a half hour trip. Along the way was some of the prettiest foliage and ocean scenery I’ve ever speculated in my entire life. It was beautiful, and plenty of pictures were taken. After we finished our journey we arrived at the hotel, and were all happy to see that it did have air conditioning, seeing that the last two hotels we stayed at did not. We ate at the hotel today, and it was one of the better meals we’ve had on the trip. Elly Barrett stated, “The mashed potatoes were magical!” We headed to the cool pool after our meal and swam, and got some sun before going to the opening ceremony. It was a once in a lifetime experience between the traditional dancers in their Amish outfits and the unique music playing, that was held in the downtown area. We got introduced and got to take a look at our competition. The teams all had a variety of ages, but all seemed eager to play tomorrow. Pula, Croatia is an exciting city and I can’t wait to experience more of it over the next few days.
