14 Mizuno finishes top 10 at Nationals

Everyone knows the saying "It doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up." That perfectly summs up 14 Mizuno at the 2013 JNVC. After being defeated on day three and losing the chance for the gold bracket, this group showed maturity and determination, winning all three sets on day four, winning the silver bracket, and finishing ninth out of 48 teams in the National Division. Way to push through, girls, and congrats on your success!

"14 Mizuno had a fantastic tournament at the 2013 GJNC. They were implementing the things we discussed all year – passing free balls with their hands, running crossing patterns on free balls, many were serving jump serves and most importantly, they COMPETED. After losing our cross match to get in the gold, the girls easily could have phoned it in, but they came to play on day 4 and we won out, winning the bronze bracket and finishing 9th. That showed me a lot about the team's character and fight. Go 14 Mizuno!"
